want to go and do some night fishing for some cats and stay the night and fish in the morning. would love to catch some any suggestions. like what bait and where

Try the south end of the north marina. Fish a 2 -3" minnow about 2 - 3' under a bobber. Toss it close to the bushes along the bank.

Another good area is all along the dike by the feedlot. If ya get on Google Earth & look where the east dike along the freeway and the dike by the feedlot meet, you'll see an area where you can park and walk across a small drainage ditch & up onto the dike. The last section of the road might be a total mud bog right now though. I've caught cats down toward the feed lot using either a crawler or minnow under a bobber just like in the marina.
