Echo Canyon Report
#1
5/29/11. Got to the campground about 1pm. Cold as hell only 35 here. Set up camp and my fishing gear. Took my limit of trout in about 20 mins, overall total of 27 bows hooked. All slightly larger then stickers at about 10 - 11 inches and fatties. Climbed into bed with snow falling and temps at about 16. Had to dig out the mummy bag to stay warm. Rain/snow all night.

5/30/11. On the lake at 8 am. Took my limit on fly rod and spinner in neon yellow. Took the 5 fish limit on the float tube in about an hour. I trailed my fly behind me as I threw the spinner bait and kicked. 15 fish total in the AM with a 13 inch fattie at about 2 lbs. PM. Fish went deep and the bight was off. Took 8 trout and 1 brown in about 3 hours. Temp of water is around 53.

I'll post more as it comes in. I'm cooking the brown trout as we speak so I must be going.

Way to go Kid!

That's the Echo Canyon I know and love.. tons of small fish with some occasional decent fish. I really must bring my boy up there again soon. I hope you get one of the rare big ones that get caught there every year.

Any tigers?
