Alright, look at this picture. On the left is a pond located off of Stephanie St. and Wigwam in Henderson right off the freeway, the right image is Sunset Pond (both at the same magnification)

I don't know how current these photos are, but has anyone visited the pond on the left lately? I was there just yesterday and it's gotten much bigger and it's INCREDIBLY GREEN! I walked down to the water and it's overgrown with reeds, trees, flowers and brush. There are all kinds of birds and animals all over the place - I even saw a bass tracker on the water last year!
Does anyone know who this property belongs to? I've heard that it used to be a gravel pit that filled with water after striking an aquiphor years ago.
For years I've wanted to try and contact the landowner and try to propose turning the area into a park/fishing pond - if anyone is interested for the cause, I would love make that a reality.
If you live near by, check the place out, you'll swear there's fish in there! There's a business parking lot adjacent the pond on wigwam - just cross the street and you're there - or on the opposite of the pond (can't remember the street I think its AM Pacific) is another parking lot.
To anyone interested, lets get a plan together to try and make this giant body of water a nice local fishing pond.
