Help with Huntington Res or Joes Valley Res.
#1
Tomorrow, I'm headen out to my little brother's hunt to scout, and I was wondering where the best place would be for 6 people to fish, and get fish consistently. We want to catch Tigers or Splake, and them are the only 2 reservoirs around there that have em. Also, how have the Browns been bitting on the Huntington River? Any info would be very, very appricated.

Fish Huntington for the Tigers. I believe it was fuzzyfisher that went there a month or so ago and he caught quite a few nice sized tigers. He was trolling in a boat, but I've been there before in my float tube and caught a few close to shore.

if you dont have a boat or tube don't go to huntington..the moss is up realy high by the shore..and shour fishing has not been that good there this year..i have not been to joes valley this year the water has be so low that i have not even bothered..fish lake would be your best bet for splake... if you do have a boat that can be hand launched at huntington try flatfish they were do realy good last time i was up there... white with red spots or a silver one is what we doing best on...

I was at hutington last sat and fished off the dam,It was pretty slow.If you have time you may want to head to skyline drive from joes valley, turn south when you reach skyline. There are a couple of lakes(snow is one the names of the others escapes me). They do have some tiger trout. There's a lake called blue lake about 4 miles off of skyline in that area(the road is marked and turns off near snow lake)The road is very rough and requires 4-wheel drive or a atv.But it is loaded with tiger trout and is generaly fast action.Alittle further south is the feron mountain drainage and there are tigers, brookies, rainbow, and grayling in willow lake,Brookies, rainbow, cutroat in ferron res.Hope this helps.Let us know how you do.
