Oneida Narrows
#1
Has anyone been down to Oneida in the past week? I'd like to know if the water is up at all yet so I know what to take with.

Sadly that's the lowest it's been in a long time. Unfortunately the snow pack for the Bear River drainage is 1135%. It might be a while still.

According to local reports... they have been catching some BIG walleye out of there... One was 17lbs, 15lbs, and 9lbs. Water levels are pretty low in the lakes, but the rivers are still running high in Franklin & Caribou county.

What's the trick to catching Walleye out of there? I have fished there a lot and caught just about everything but one of them. I don't mind catching big carp while I'm there, but it'd be nice to change it up a bit.

I've caught several just trolling for trout.

Well, if this stocking info is correct, they put a 1/2 million of them in there in May 2010. Plus whatever was in there previously. Add in the 1 million carp (ha, ha) that's there, and there should be enough fish to walk from one side to the other without getting your boots wet.

That link didn't work apparently. If you go to the Stocking page, check 2010, click Perch-Walleye, Oneida comes up and shows the stocking report for May 2010.
