Lower Palisades Lake
#1
Hit Lower PaliSades yesterday for an hour. I started off with a shiny Panther Martin to match the bright sky. Nothing. Then I say flying ants in the water and switched to an all-black PM with yellow spots. That was the sauce - they were bumping it pretty good and I landed one. Couldn't stay long because the youth group I was leading would have mutinied on me.

The lake is still murky and the creek is thundering down the canyon like nobody's business. We had to wade in one spot (ankle-deep) and hop several mud holes.

Great day to be outside and managed to avoid the skunk.

I've caught more trout on the black with red spots than all the other colors combined. They love the black.
