I normally only fish strike because i like it and I know it. But this weekend my family and friends are trying SFCR. I know it will be crazy busy on the fourth of july weekend. The guys will be out there 3 or 4 nights and the wives and kids will be out there 2 nights. We fish hard and are looking for some free tips. at strike we like to get in the crappie and perch but we also like to do bass fishing. we normally use crakbaits for bass. I woulod love to have a shore supper for 12 people of walleyes one of those nights. we will be tent camping. we will have an 18 pontoon boat and an 18 foot bass boat. when the kids come out they will want to play on the water behind teh boat...Will the water be warm enough there?
So if anyone want to PM me and give me any advise or tips let me know.
I plan on posting some pictures and a good report when i get back.

I would be concerned about finding a camping spot. The water is very high and the normal spots are under water and there are only a few designated spots up at the dam and boat launch area.

Michael...I am really concerned too. we are probably gonna take another day of leave and find one early. We really will make teh best of it. We will have a camp fire and be makin smores. It could possibly be the best 4th of July EVER. I am trying to think positive. If we have to camp in an area we would normally not ever look at, we will make the best of it. Fisrt camp trip of the year in a new spot. I just hope my kids will remember this for the rest of thier lives.
I do really wish we would have planned a different weekend. But we will go out and have a good time I hope we get good neighbors!

Well i caught a walleye[fishin]. We found a good campsite with two picnic tables and a bathroom. we had two big tents two boats and too much fun. My daughters found some small 30 to 40 foot cliffs to jump off. it was thier first time doing something that crazy. I was too afraid. We ate good and even went to have the jackpot buffet saturday night. 4 of the 12 people fished pretty hard caught a few small bass and couple perch and 4 walley. i caught the first and the smallest walleye. We saw a guy catching HUGE trout. It was a great trip and thanks for all the help on spots to try and other tips. I might try to make that lake a once a year trip.
