Went up there for a few hours to check out the water level. It is very low! I had to walk the pipeline all the way to the back of the pond to find some depth and some fish. I caught around 5 Largemouth all under 12" on my 3" senkos. Tryed a frog and some other baits but that's all they would bite. Did manage to hook into a nice one of at least 15" but while I was fighting him in he dug into the weeds and wrapped me around a stick. I couldn't budge him no matter what I tryed. I wish I had a pair of shorts on then I could have walked up to the weeds and unravelled the line. He was only around 6 feet away in 4' of water. I could see his tail sticking out so gave it a rap with a stick hoping he would jet out and unravel, he shot out but was still stuck. Finally cut the line. It's a shame that would have made a nice picture.
Saw a few more cruise by. Their still in there and doing well just tough to find.

forgot to mention that there are plenty of huge carp in there. Their jumping all the time and you can see them cruising from time to time.

Where exactly is the I-80 pond? Obviously it's by I-80, but where? I heard about it once a long time ago, but I haven't heard anything about it for years.

cat man,
If you look back to about early May/June there are alot of posts/reports on I-80 pond. Alot of guys were tubing it back then but since the water level dropped and it got choked with weeds it fell out of favor.
The pond is off of I-80 just like aquaman says it's the rest stop shortly after you cross into Toolee county. As soon as you see the Toolee county sign you'lle see the rest stop sign. Walk down the path on the right side of the rest stop and it's down there.
Good Luck.
