Boating at daniels

Question about Daniels. I have only fished it on the ice. Wondering the regulations of launching a boat. Is it wakeless? If I have a 2 pole permit, can I use 2 poles? How is the boat launch there? Any pointers on what to use? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can use two poles. The one pole rule is for ice fishing only. Single barbless hooks, no bait, and a limit of two that are over 20".

It is not posted as wakeless, but I haven't seen many boats speeding around. Most get to where they are going and anchor or drift and fish. I think the ramp is in good shape, but I have never actually used it for a boat on a trailer, so my memory might be questionable on that.

I don't have any idea what is currently working, or how the fishing has been. I got skunked the last couple of times I was there about a month ago. Chironomids are usually a good choice if you fly fish. You might call Roger at Portneuf River Outfitters in Pocatello.
