CJ strike Boat Ramps
#1
Has anybody used the boat ramps lately at Cove arm?

What are they like? Could I put my bass boat in there?

Is the road to cove arm paved or gravel?

Thanks for any info!

Hi Kevin
The road in is gravel and has been roungh in the past. When you get to the bottom you go arond Crane Falls lake and that road is windy and goes trough around some rocks but you should be able easily pull around the the road is well used. The ramp is cement and should be long enough and there is a short dock.

Now when you get to the bottom and can turn towards crane falls there are some boat ramps to the right on the river, but honestly I don't really know much about them.

Also at the bridge on the highway from Mt home to Bruneau has docks.

I haven't been down there this year, but I was down there a couple of times last year. No way would I take a boat trailer down there. The road is dirt for about the last 2 miles, and pretty steep part of the way. It goes right along a cliff wall in some spots, and just to make it really entertaining, there's huge boulders right next to the road. If your rig is too wide, you're going to get in trouble.

If you have anything bigger than a small cartopper, I'd launch at Crane Falls or Loveridge Bridge.

Took my 14 ft. boat/trailer in there and launched in the river last summer and had no difficulties at all. If the road is washboardy just go slow but the road is plenty wide.

Went down there over the 4th. Its rough as heck. Took my jetboat down there and it was so rough it cracked the welds on my kicker motor mount. save time and your boat, put in at AF or Loveridge Bridge ramps.
