Help needed!
#1
Im kind of new to the northern area, and would like to be able to go somewhere that I can catch trout from shore with the kids. Does anyone have any pointers as to where to go. Preferably Echo, Lost creek, east canyon, porcupine, hyrum, or any others not to far. Where to go, what to use! Would be great.

Thanks for the help!

Rockport is usually a good bet. We have done well there in the past with super dupers, jakes spin a lures, or the old classic silver and black rapala. Just a thought.

Hyrum - folks often fish from the S-W shore by the dam. The waters really high, so there's not the shoreline that is usually accessible. Once the rivers settle down - the Logan River - first/second/third damns can do well for family fishing.
Mantua has some nice trout, as well as bass, and loads of bluegills. If you get around to the far-east-side where the Knoll is - there's some good access. Lots of folks dot the dike on the west side too.

PM if you want some "maps".

A number of community ponds are well stocked with load of frisky planter bows that can keep the younglings entertained.
