I am headed to FG for smallies for the first time on thursday and I have ever fished them on the Gorge. I have fished Macs and Kokes quite a bit.
I need some direction on where to head for the Smallies out of Lucerne (Manila area) and what I should be tying on?

The coves straight across from the marina and up towards WY have always been good to me. They have names but I don't know them. 176 Hula Grubs and brown tubes are my go to baits up there but sometimes it's a good crank bite. Wacky rig a light brown worm (or dropshot) in deeper water if your only finding dinks up shallow.

The water is stained as far South as Upper Marsh Creek, maybe farther, shouldn't affect the fishing, but for me clear is better. The coves just South of the pipeline are always a good bet, fish the rocky points with the lures mentioned in the last post and you will catch fish.
