Momma had plans of her own this Saturday so I decided to do a guys trip up to the cabin this weekend. I loaded up the car and off we went for a few days, just me and the boy.
Didn’t get any fishing in up in the uintas due to too many chores around camp, but we did stop at the in-let of Rockport on our way down the canyon. Only fished for an hour or so, then it was time to find an empty section of river and throw rocks. A big thanks Christian for an AWESOME weekend!

That is amazing. I cannot even get my 2 turkeys to understand the pole needs to not be touched after they are thrown in until a bite. I tell you though the boy sure can cast his Cars pole over 20 feet.
By the way. Where did you get the hat? I need one for both the kids.

Just like any body of water you need to spend time there to figure it out. I’ve been fishing the rock for 16 years so I have a couple tricks and honey holes. But the very first time I fished Rockport was late spring right during the spawn. To say I got spoiled would be the understatement of the year. I caught nothing but 2 ½ - 6 pounders right in the inlet and I’ve been hooked on that place since. [sly]
