Bear Lake by Fish Haven
#1
Hey, at the last minute we decided to go down to bear lake this weekend for a family get together, by fish Haven. I was wondering if there are any good shore fishing spots on bear lake, or creeks in the fish haven area. I have never fished bear lake before, and because it's middle of the summer I am assuming the fishing from shore would not be very good, but if anyone knows of any creeks in the Fish Haven area or any other fishing information on bear lake, I would appreciate it. PMs are more than welcome.

Thanks

Yeah fishing from shore this time of year can be tough. I'd be interested to know how much water is in there. Like is there any beach left to hang out on? I'm thinking about going down just for fun. Let me know what you find.

I'll be there this weekend with my kids and was wondering some of the same things. I guess we'll see how it goes

I was there 2 weeks ago, I was able to put my little boat in at Rendevous Beach without paying for a tractor to drive it out, so it is very full. Never had a chance to fish it from the boat or the shore.

There are lots of trees and grassy areas that are submerged and we saw a couple of fish jump in the clumps of grass. So the cover is there and should contain some fish, just not sure what kind. Water is right up to the road most places.

Little late, but for future reference....there are a couple of streams and one lake I know of in that area that are worth fishing. You won't catch any monsters, but I enjoy fishing them. St Charles Creek, Bloomington Creek, and Bloomington Lake have all produced fun trips for me in the past. Even if you aren't fishing, Bloomington Lake is worth visiting.

Hey thanks for the info. I didn't have much time to fish this past weekend because we were having a family reunion. I did see a creek that was called swan creek, but it was on the Utah side. It did look promising but I was not able to try it out. The lake is definitely full! There were tonz of joy-riders this past weekend!

It's crazy how full the lake is right now. There are some beautiful areas near there that aren't nearly as busy as the lake. Next time you are down that way send me a PM and I'll let you know where to go if you'd like.
