My father is coming to visit next week from Arizona and I'm going to be taking him on an overnight camp/fish trip. I want to take him somewhere up in the Uintas near highway 150. I'm not overly familiar with the area am I'm looking for some suggestions on some good spots for lake fishing. My father hasn't been fishing since the 80's and I'd love to find somewhere where he has a good chance of hooking something other than himself. Any replies or PM's would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Any tips as to what areas of those lakes are good for bank tangling or would I be better off renting a canoe? Thanks again.

all three of the lakes are great ffor bank tangling. if you want to get rid of people go to Out Door Rec and rent a canoe. i hate people so when i do go up there i use a toon, if nothing else it gives you a slight advantage of fishing areas people dont want to hike to

also the lakes i mentioned. there are several other roadside lakes.... lost, lilly, teapot, moose horn. you guys could fish all of those either on shore or in a canoe to your hearts content. there are very well marked trails every where that lead to many more lakes as well

Sounds like some really good father/son time. On the way up the canyon you'll see a store on the left side of the road. Stop in there and pay your fee and get a map. I think the maps are still free.
Trial Lake is the easiest lake to get to and still quite likely to catch fish.

Hey Ken, we still need to get together to do some fishing before everything gets iced over.
