Duck Hunting up North

Anybody know if ducks or geese land on the Palouse? Or do they just fly over until they get to Lewiston?

I've jumped a couple of birds who I think fattened up on algae all summer. But that's it.

Anybody out there who knows anything could be a big help to this guy who knows nothing (about ducks on the Palouse, at least).

Are you talking Moscow mostly? Cause i know a few fields my buddies hunted! Not a whole lot of ducks out there. I believe there is a WMA type place near Winchester that is full of birds!

Yeah, around Moscow is what I'm interested in. So if you could get the GPS coordinates for those fields... []

Yeah, there is the Winchester or Waha WMA that's not too far. I'm just hoping there's a way to do something closer.

i'd have to look at a map. these may not be open to you, or anybody anymore. look for any field with Winter Wheat. the farmers hate the geese and nobody there hunts them.
