Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving!
I'm smoking a small turkey this year brined in buttermilk and butter stuffed. The wife is still making the traditional dinner since her family has to have it that way. Nothing like tradition but change is always nice. Her family are stick-in the-mud types. Something every year...smoking is my way of changing things up, albeit in a small way.
So how are you spending Thanksgiving today? Traditional or Avant Garde. Anyone serving fish?
BTW: Plans to go out at the crack of dawn tomorrow around the Gov't Wash area. If you're out there, I'll be the one on the yellow kayak pulling in all the fish.he-he.

Happy T-Day all! Doing the traditional turkey, kind of. I wrap/interlace ours in Hickory smoked bacon. Really makes it juicy plus the bacon is awesome!
I'll be out of Echo Bay somewhere tomorrow AM with my daughter and a co-worker. Blue Tracker boat.

Happy turkey day. sailor jerry 92proof spiced rum, beer and a traditional dinner here, roasted turkey, stuffing, tater salad, whipped taters, green bean casserole, mac n cheese, corn, velveeta cheese covered california mix veggies, rolls. sweet potato pie, pumpkin cheesecake, cherry pie. and for appetizers clam dip, hot spinach artichoke dip, pigs in a blanket, deviled eggs. everything from scratch mmm mmm mmm then I get to go to work at 11pm tonight!!! bring it on!!!! LOL [fishon]

Happy thanksgiving everyone... Had a good day I must say.. Got up early and fed and clothed the homeless at church... Got home and got 2 phone calls for a interview Monday "might have a job!!!" yeah... God bless y'all and tight lines...
