Hi All,
I moved to Las Vegas last june but have not done much fishing in the state yet. My favorite type of fish is Trout but I haven't met a fish I didn't enjoy catching. Look forward to geting to know all of you.

Great thing about LV is that it is a great launching point. We got Mead and Mohave real close. A couple of hours you can get to the different res up north. Or drive for few hours make it to southern Utah. The Kern and Owens is also drivable. Good luck.

Owens River is near Bishop California

North and South Fork of the Kern River is at Kernville, California.

You might also consider Lee's Ferry in Utah. Check conditions at the Arizona Fish and Game webside

Trout fishing for planters is available at Willow Beach on the Colorado River below Hoover Dam. you can shore fish with bait or try small lures from a boat. Plantings are usually Fridays,

I've fished the upper and lower Kern and also lake Isabella. Awesome. [fishon]
Southern Utah has some great trout spots.

Sorry for the late post. I fished at Mill Meadow near Richfield in hopes of catching a lot of perch but mostly the trout came out to play. Ended up catching enough for a good fish fry. The fishing was slow but the weather and company were excellent. Over all a good trip.
