At mantua my go to set-up is tandem rigged size 12 ice jigs, one green glow one black.

In my time on Mantua, I use one if each on my two rods. I catch fish at about the same rate on both.

i fish the glow alot love it and works well in all waters for all fish but there are times when the glow doesn't get any love but that fishing for ya

My personal experience is that the deeper you fish the more useful glow can be (i.e. less light situations). Someone once suggested that deeper than 15' was a good general rule.

I used different rigs, almost always tandem. I always have at least one jig head that glows when I fish on the ice, always.

Glow or Go Home! I always say! (well, not really)

Jigs that glow, plastics that glow, paint that glows. I like it whether the fish do or not - that's their own problem!

Big Tip: Get a UV flashlight - makes all the difference. I have brought up a quiet jig, given it a zap, dropped it down and got a hit right away, so . . . .
have also watched fish come up to my camera and check it out - in part because of it's light.

But I think as has been said - depends on the light penetration in the lake. When it's dark down there - light it up!
Maniac plastics have lots of glow products. Which hooks were empty at Sportsmans? Yup - ALL the glow ones, so take that with a grain of salt, but if ya ask me....
