Deer Creek from Shore?

I was thinking of heading to Deer Creek tomorrow to fish from shore? Does anyone have any tips or had any luck up there lately?

Go to the dam end and park next to the rail road tracks in the big parking lot. Then walk to the set of buoys and throw spinners and kastmasters in gold. You cannot fish any closer to the dam than that. Good luck.

I've never tried the Twins' location tip, but I have heard good things about it.

I usually have good luck fishing just left of the boat ramp, out of the state park, using Rapalas or nightcrawlers. Good luck![fishin]
