Shore fishing river mouths

I will be in CR Jaco area with a car in early Feb. Any suggestions on shore fishing for snook?

I fished the bay in front of the Marriot 2 years ago out of a Kayak and from shore. I caught a couple of small ones and a few other fish as well. Fish the incoming tide and the fish will be on the feed. We did have the best Dorado fishing out of Jaco I have ever seen with fish up to 60 lbs. Sail fish and Marlin were decent also although I never hooked a marlin others around us were. There are gators in the rivers but I don't think they cause much trouble. Fun place.
