i work at a hotel in the international center. i ve drove by the large ponds in the middle of them for nearly 3 years never giving them a second look. last outing i went on my buddy tells me he caught largemouth out of them years ago. does anyone else have any experience at these bodies of water. i just figured there was carp in them. would love to be able to drop shot on my lunch break as its litterally 2 minutes from my work.

I used to fish them a lot about 10 years ago. They were full of largemouth back then. After a time, there was a lot of work put into the ponds, some dredging and putting rock in all along the edges, might have improved the forage base. I haven't been there since then, so really couldn't say what might be there now, but it was great back in the day.

It has been quite some time for myself as well but i have caught a number good sized LM there. I do remember only doing well early in the morning though in late spring just as it's warming up. I had the most success by the Restaurant that extends out into the pond. Right around those stumps. Topwaters, especially popers. Also did ok by the outlet or inlet....whichever it is. Never tried it in the winter though.

You know as well as I do that as soon as you flip your jig out you will get a call for a clogged pooper or keys locked in a running vehicle or satellite signal going out or something.
