the Wolftever Kid, Chickamauga, Crappie, 2/6/12, solo
#1
Hit the water at 11:30 am. Tried several different spots with no luck. I then
started checking places I haven't fished in a while. The bite picked up, big time.
Docks and blowdowns were hot, shallow and deep. I caught a million short fish,
along with some nice crappie. I was fishing a dock in 7 feet of water, using a 1/32 oz.
jig with Outlaw Special bodies, when I caught a nice 14.25 in.crappie. Not just any
crappie, but a blacknose. I think this is my first blacknose tarp. That has to be a hard
tarp to get on the Chick. North wind picked up, and the clouds moved in, making it
on the cool side. The crappie bite is picking up, bout time. I finished with 42 keeper crappie,
all released.
