The rain had been falling continuously all day. I thought to myself it sure would be nice to catch a few crappie.<br />Went to the closet and drug out a rain jacket, tossed a rod into the truck and headed off.<br />Noticed there weren't too many fishermen out today. emoScratch <br />It was about 1pm when I made my way to some shelter out of the rain.<br />I was well pleased to make the first cast and see a slight tic in the line before setting the hook.<br />Tried a few different baits and colors but seemed the TX Avacado PA was king.<br />Had it rigged on 1/24oz #4 sickle hook jig.<br />Ended up convincing ten crappie and one "tn tarpon" to come on over to the rip rap I was standing on.<br />Four or five more backed out along the way. Oh well, that's fishing.<br />Heading out to the Chick in the morning. Hopefully all goes well. emoSmile <br /><br />
