Proud Dad! Bowhunter Magazine Turkey

My son Jesse won the grand prize this year in Bowhunter Magazine's Youth Hunter Essay contest.

The magazine treated him to an archery turkey hunt in South Dakota where they filmed him for Bowhunter TV and pretty much spoiled the crap out of him. Um... I got to tag along, too.

Despite a few misses and an arrow that fell off the string at the moment of truth, we both managed to stick nice birds. His picture will run in the August issue of the magazine.

Turns out he's in the september issue of Bowhunting (p.32). I just finished finally putting hisbird together for the wall, and mine, too. They turned out pretty good for a rookie, i think.
