Hey everyone, I am new to the site, I've been reading it for six or eight months, but this is my first post. I've been seriously addicted to fishing for a little over a year now. And lately I can not get enough bass fishing. My only problem is I am fishing from the shore. I have had a lot of fun at Dierkes Lake, with my 5 year old son catching a good amount of small large mouths, and had a couple of really good days at the Snake River at Centennial Park with some bigger Small Mouth's, (also a couple of really bad days with only 1 or 2 fish being caught.
I am looking for some additional spots that are close to Twin with good Bass fishing from the shore. I know how to keep my mouth shut and we don't like to eat fish, so it's all catch and release for us.
If anyone knows of any good spots, or has any good advice they would be willing to share I'd sure appreciate it.
I have included a picture of the best Bass I've caught so far, it's actually a White Bass I caught a week and a half ago in Utah.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Salmon falls creek res. You can go to any of the popular spots and walk the bank. You can also check out a map and og to some hard to get to spots. Bass fishing is just getting started and it should be good this year. Ron

Ron hit it on the nose! Go to Salmon Dam, either Norton's Bay, Big Sandy Bay or all the way to the end at the Backwaters. The biggest bass are moving into shallow to start their spawn. Hit the right spot and you can't keep them off. Also a chance of catching walleyes to. If you have a four wheel drive, you can go around to the west side and drive down into Goose Island. Another good spot is on the river towards Burley. All of the area from Milner dam up a few miles has good access. Fish from the dam all the way to right below the Burley Trap and Sporting Clays Club.

Thanks for the ideas. Anyone know what is working right now for the Small Mouths in the Snake? The last several times I've gone down there I've gotten skunked. Also I was there for several hours this morning and saw/ heard probably ten fish jumping out of the water. Some of them were pretty good splashes. I couldn't get a good look at any of the fish anyone know what type they probably are? I'd like to target them as well.

If you go below murtaugh bridge those bass are hitting pretty much anything. I was catching them on rapalas, spinners, and different jigs. And they are stacked in their right now.

I've never been to Murtaugh Bridge, can I just park near the bridge and then hike down by the river? Is the fishing better North or South of the Bridge, from East or West side of the Bank? Thanks!

Thanks for the Murtaugh Bridge tip!!! I went out Friday Morning for a few hours but only caught one decent sized Small Mouth. Went out again Saturday Afternoon with my 5 year old, and tried a different pool, and had a blast. We caught 8 Small Mouths, and 3 Sucker Fish. First time we've caught Suckers before, All three were about 18 to 20 inches long and about 2 lbs and put up pretty good fights, especially on my little boys Car's fishing pole.
