Fishing in Boise Area
#1
Are there any recommendations of where to take a float tube in the Boise area? I love to fish for just about every species. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'll be fishing tonight and tomorrow night.

Thanks again

Tonight I can only travel around a hour away. Tomorrow I can travel a hour and a half.

There is a really good bass and bluegill lake down below Melba on the Snake river. It's probably less than an hour from Boise, you have to take a short hike of about 1/2 or 3/4 miles. Its a really flat hike and it's worth it if you are willing to walk in.

Here's a report on it that gives a little bit of information: http://www.bigfishtackle.com/cgi-bin/gfo...ost=696797

Thanks for the info. Have a good one. If I get there I'll make sure to post about it.

Thanks again!

Yeah, no problem, if you want something not so hard to get to I can give you more options. Halverson is kinda a lot of work if you don't want to hike a float tube in, otherwise go for it! Good luck!

You could put a better mug than Randy's as your avatar. Do you want one of me? I surely live closer to you than he does.

That's not just any old mug of Randy! That happens to be a mug of Randy holding the first bluegill I ever caught! It holds a special place in my heart [cool]
