<br /> Fished the always well run Saturday night dogfight. Headed to my first spot and on the second cast caught a 15 inch largemouth. Thought it would be a good night. Proceeded to catch 13 more largemouth, 9 of those between 14 and 14 9/10 inches long. Finally hooked a nice fish on a spinnerbait and after a fight had the fish break off around a dock. Moved up to the dock to find what else...what appeared to be a metal pen submerged in about five feet of water, and tied to the dock with wire. Kept fishing spinnerbait and about ten minutes later hooked another good fish, which jumped into the air and had me thinking I had struck gold. Once I got the fish to the boat I realized I had hooked a monster gar. Shook the trailer hook loose and continued alternating between a big worm ad a spinnerbait. Finally caught another 15 inch fish around 12:30am. Trolling motor started acting up so I decided to head on to the ramp. Caught one more just short fish on a spinnerbait and decided to call it a night. <br /> Beautiful night on the water, just could not find bigger fish.
