Lucky peak-father's day
#1
Got up late and the wife wanted to go out since the weather was nice. So loaded up the bass boat and headed to Lucky Peak. Hit spring shores and was in the water by 10:30...( I mentioned sleeping in ? )
Shot across to the other side and threw together some stuff to troll with. Wife likes trout, and if that did not work, we could always bass fish. Did not even get a bite when trolling. Fished from 10:30-1:30...tried all kinds of different stuff, did not figure out what the deal was. Watched a bunch of others and only saw one other bring in a fish. Fished from spring shores down to about 2 miles past the tree farm and the fire station where the helicopter was doing some practice flying.
It started to burn off the clouds and got really hot....wife started to melt so we bugged out. Not many people out this morning, even when we left the parking lot was really full, but not many boats could be found, and the water was pretty flat and nice. Did manage to get the boat inspected so we are good for this year.

hope this helps anyone who is looking. I tried all kinds of speeds, from sub 1mph-1.9/2.3mph...not a thing.
Maybe i need to setup a downrigger on the boat. I have one, have just not mounted it.....I know, ranger bass boat...with a downrigger.....whatever it takes.
( I did install a trolling plate on the 130hp outboard, and it works awesome)
Have a good father's day to all the fathers!

Very slow day koke fishing at Anderson also 7 hours of trolling and only 4 dink kokes & 4 missed kokes. Maybe those darn fish just took the day off.
