First off I want to appologize to the people who asked if I needed a partner, and I didnt reply back to. I was waiting to hear if Glen(my CBA partner) was gonna be able to make it to fish, and we found out friday morning.

Glen and I ran to a deep ledge to start and a "hole hopper" had beat me to it. So I just went accross the river and waited them out. Their impatience got the best of them and when the hole opened up we swooped in. Picked up a limit that would go about 9lbs pretty quick in 20-30ft on spoons and big worms. There was ZERO generation between 6-3, so the river was actually backing up and we found ourselves fishing the river backwards...weird! We hoped from spot to spot focusing on ledges and I swear we caught 5 limits of 3-3.5lbers and just couldnt get a kicker. Finally with about an hour left, we punted and went to some shallow grass near the main river. Through the big worm in and bam! We pulled a (according to my scales)4/0, 3/10, and a 3/8 out which were the best three that we ended with. 11.15#, which was our total at weigh in. good for 5th. Thought I was onto something so I took my Dad out there yesterday, and nothing! Maybe it was a fluke? Either way Glen and I had a ball, and I was glad to see Ramjack pulled a check in the Shriners. Things seem to be changing out there as I have noticed huge wads of young-of-the-year shad (1.5"long) showing up on the graph instead of 3" thread fins and large gizzard shad. Seems a month early for that, but everything has been a month early this year!
