Went out in the windlate this afternoon about 4:30, since I'm going to limit my time out the next few days with the temps expected to get over 100*. Didn't expect much with the strong north wind & bluebird skies, but I think the change made the fish pretty active. One big thing was that surface temps had dropped to 82* from 88* during CBA Sat nite. Started on a shallow bar with some grass with a shakey head & caught a nice 4#. Went upriver a bit but could barely fish that stretch of ledge for the whitecaps! My wife, Kim, called & wanted to meet me, so picked her up a the ramp & headed to a more protected drop & quickly got into fish that were in 6-7'. Caught 6 solid keeper LM from 2-3.25# & a 12" spot. Brent called about 6:30 & wanted to get out for a bit, so ran to CFP & picked him up & headed for a river ledge close by. throwin the trusty shakey head & a jig, we got 7 nice LM & Kim got her best this year, a 5# LM, & Brent got a nice 4#. Dropped Brent of at 8:45 & headed to the house. Beautiful & comfortable evening out! The good fishin was an unexpected bonus!
