community ponds

For those days when I can't make it up to a river or creek I have a community pond really close that I never really thought about fly fishing. The one I am speaking of is the Cove at Herriman. I have never fished there (or any other community pond for that matter) and got to thinking...why not? What this is all boiling down to is what would be recommended in the fly department? I'm sure I could go out there and sit and watch all day for bugs but was just curious what I might concentrate on.
