Put in about 6 and headed up river. Fished a couple side channels that usually produce and caught a few, fish were fairly shy through could turn em but no strikes. Not much bug action until about 7:30 them there is a good hatch that to be honest I'm not sure what it was that came off and it got the fish looking up. Instead of fishing Drys we were swinging wets and produced some great #s. I was swinging a sandymite with a macky special below that, and a bead head hares ear below that .I would cast drewght out and most of the hits would come in the last half of the swing. Also would do a lift and drift at the end that produced a few fish. Also stripping it back produced a few also. Ended up catching a good 16 or so and missed atleast that many strikes. Big fish of the night for me was a fat cut that was around 3 lbs , fought really well and almost got me into my backing on a couple runs in swift water. Each fly produced about the same as the others. Was using a floating line. Nice to learn how to fish wet Flys since its not something I've done a whole lot of.
