Pineview 9/14 & Deer Creek 9/17
#1
Two trips to report:

Pineview 9/14 -
Launched about 2pm and fished southern and middle arms. Found mainly crappie, a few perch and smallmouth, couple largemouth and carp, no musky. Fish were at the back of the arms in 5-10ft of water suspended in open water. The water is LOOOOW. Caught fish on spinners and grubs. In total boated 17 crappie (must have lost as many at the boat), 3 smallies, 2 largies and 1 carp. Left just before sundown as the powersquadron came out. Water temps 70-72*.

Deer Creek 9/17 -
Launched at the north, marina ramp. MISTAKE! The water is so low here that the ramp is too flat at the bottom. With a 16' aluminum boat I had to put all four tires in the water to launch. Fished from 1pm to 5pm in the north end, mostly the west shoreline. Caught 10 largemouth and 1 rainbow. Senkos, spinners, spinnerbaits and rapalas all produced. All largemouths 10-13" and the rainbow was 16". I have caught 3 largemouth in my life from DC, and 10 today....? I wasn't sure I was on the right body of water. Water temps 66-69*.

Great report, thanks for posting it. Are they still charging to launch at Pineview? How big were the crappie?

Yeah, still charging an arm and a leg($10) to launch at the south ramp where we put in. Crappie were from 9-12". Had one that looked to go 15" but didn't get it in the boat.

Man that is weird to catch that many LMBs at DC on one day. I started launching on the southern most end to avoid the poor ramp conditions, since the north end chewed my prop up right in front of that cabin/building. I haven't had a problem there.
