So Pavlik and I went to Yuba for quicky. Sure enough he didn't want to get there till 2:30pm. I did manage to lose 1 pike. We fished till 5:30pm. He was extremely worried that the would not get back to work in time (9pm). My theory is that since it was a saturday several others hit the beaches before us and caught the pike ahead of us. On weekends I always launch by dawn. Weekdays are so much better.
To make matters worse I lost my last go to lure during last cast....literally. So I heard it thunk the beach and I got 1 whole minute from the boat driver to search for it. While I never did find it but Pavlik did yell that there was a rod on the beach. This thing has been there for quite a while. The reel is toast and the rod is covered in dried moss. Might have been stepped on by a few cows too.
Anyone know a good cleaner for it?
Oh yeah and if you can name the brand of the rod, the reel, the line you had on it, a general description of it, and where you lost it I will get it back to you.
