Not much "FLY" rod in the holder, meaning maybe 2" of the butt section. Nine foot rod sticking straight up the back? And no bending over!
Here is how I do it. http://www.orvis.com/store/product.aspx?pf_id=0a44 Interesting idea Paulpro [signature]

Ahh I see.. fancy! lol
Thanks goddess its nice but you have to break it down..[frown] my way you have to watch overhead slight draw back depending on your surroundings I guess.. Check out my new video, its the first Fly rod bicycle rod holder video on youtube! I just tried the fly rod on the bmx rod holder works great didn't go off road but hit some good speed on a stretch of road..check it out I've gone offroad too it locks in pretty good[] ok have a good catch.. To my surprise didn't get any loops around the spinning rod, just placed it in the rodholder to my left and did some cast even some overhand cast no tangles with the other rod yet..

Paul.. I like your concept on the bike but Id still be wary of having the rod assembled like that.. too much of a chance of damaging the rod... but do like concept.. []
