I saw that on youtube. It helps the line to keep from tangling. It seems to be working. So far so good. I do wish they were stiff but flexible.

How about if you shortened them? They should be a little stiffer, probably would want to sand the ends a little so they would be as sharp, not to protect the line but the backs of your hands. I like the idea, cause tangling is a hassle!
