Out lake fishing, Paul catches a Pike with a mepps 5 spinner. He removes the barbless hooks in the water (using forceps) - for a quick and safe release.

Very good until one day a really nice fish gets away has that happened to you yet, makes me wish sometimes I hadn't removed the barb..
Its funny when it happens to somebody else, even if you keep the pressure on when they jump sometimes they get off, just don't expect me to feel bad for you when a big fish gets away..anyway Barbless fishing is cool its how I fish for Bass heres a video enjoy [#005000]SUB me on youtube[/#005000] ok,I'll sub you back barbless worm hook reg shank #3 best [signature]

If you squish the barbs you end up with a little bump. That helps.
Paul, do you catch fish or does the barb[ ![]() "You" keep tension on and "you" will never loose a fish to a barbless hook.[cool] [signature]

love the video - barbless hooks do work great if you keep the braid tight
i have subscribed to your youtube account thanks Paul my latest vid Out stalking pike on a hampshire gravel pit, Paul switches to a mepps 5 and makes contact with a lively Pike. The barbless hook falls out of the net and the fish swims off to fight another day. http://youtu.be/gcOhVS13gLk [signature]
