Three 23" fish and a few days on the Weber
#1
Too bad two of them were suckers....Anyhow I finally found some time to make it back down to the Weber and had a couple good days. The first day they was a blast, i landed some nice fish and had the river to myself. First fish of the day was my biggest fish yet on a fly rod, a beastly 23'' brown. I saw him hanging out under and undercut and was able to swing an egg to him and lure him from his lair!

The next hole i hooked what felt like a log, had my hopes up for another big brown. Turned out to be a big sucker, been catching a lot of these lately...

After fishing through an entire stretch of river i decided to head down to some urban areas and fished a deep hole for sometime before hoking into another beast, another 23" sucker...

Me and my brother headed out Thanksgiving morning and both caught around twenty in a couple hours, biggest was about 17.

Made it back out again today and it was tough and very cold. Still managed some fish and one was a beautiful fat rainbow, nice surprise for that part of the Weber. Hooked into a hefty one but he spit the hook after a couple minutes, never got a good look at him, probably another big sucker by the way it was fighting. It was a good three days to say the least. Hopefully next year i'll get those extra 3 inches i've been looking for and get my 26" brown!

Nice fish. Do you have much luck through Riverdale, and Uinta? I tried it a couple times last summer and didn't see much action. There are some great looking stretches of river though. Any info would be appretiated.
