Nice day on the water in Southern UT

Headed out to a little impoundment just Northwest of St. George for some float tubing and fly fishing...the weather wasn't the best, but the fish were cooperating. We landed around 50 fish, all rainbows, in about four fours of fishing between the two of us...largest around 24". Caught all our fish on bh buggers with bh brassie droppers.

Beautiful trout. This time a year you grab it when you can. This whole week looks to be fishless[:/] Winter is a here, dang it.

Flygoddess,

Thankyou...I don't know what forecast you are looking at, but mine looks like mid 70's and sunshine! ;-) I'll be back out there soon...

I drooled Zack. I am fine with winter, in fact, I welcome it...but 60 mile an hour wind....not so much.

Thanks Zack...yeah, some of my favorite fly fishing memories were fly fishing in the winter in snow flurries, catching brown after brown on the middle Provo...good times. Now days, I prefer to catch those "green" fish in my shorts and flip-flops! However, even down here in Dixie I have to trade my flip-flops for boots and shorts for pants a few months out of the year, and go in search of the elusive Southern trout! Smile I'll be back out there this weekend looking for an even bigger one!
