#1
Hey everyone! was just curious if you all had any spots that could produce alot of white bass for me and my little boy?? Ive been out to the lake 3 or 4 times this year and all that i can seem to hook in too are blue gill and croppie. What have you guys noticed is working for ya out there??? any suggestions or tips would be awesome!!! thanks![Smile]

Yeah, poor baby, catching crappie and bluegill.[:p] Jk.

One of the main problems with white bass is that they school up, and you have to find a thousand to find one sometimes.

I usually see guys bouncing around to different harbors and access points, hitting a couple holes and then racing off to the next.

If you know where the Bubble Up is, I have had success walking out straight from shore along the pipe and drilling a series of holes farther and farther from shore. Eventually, I find the spot they want, depth etc., and catch a bunch. Kinda hard to stay lined up with the pipe w/o sonar, and with the water so shallow, watch out for thin spots where it actually bubbles up. Not a sure thing, but decent access and worth a look.

And I'd love a PM me if you can spare the secret about the bluegills. I love panfish.

I have been having the same "problem" with blue gill and crappie at Utah Lake. Every now and then a big blue will come through but most are no bigger than half the size of the palm of your hand. I do catch some whities in the mix but again 1 in 15 are of any good size to them. If I could find a good patch of decent size crappie I would be in heaven. Good luck on the whitie hunting.

2-3 weeks ago I went too af harbor and fished right next to the boat buoy that's is a huge circle ball type and slayed white bass all day .

I'm already sick of white bass. I just wan't perch, blue gills and crappie. It looks like my new spot is doing better on different species but still those stupid white bass group up. I just want them gone now. I had days on the ice for white bass that I could catch easily 100-200 in a day.
