The ice fishing is probably done at tibble fork until we get another cold spell. The fishing was good today but the ice was disappearing rapidly and I had a partner pull a non fisherman out of the water after he tried to rescue his dog. It got really scary watching all the kids walking across what little ice was left to go sledding or just to see how close to the edge of the ice they could get. Too much open water for the parents to not watch their kids, someone could get hurt. We even had to chase three kids off that were trying to break the ice open. They managed some nice cracks. They just don't realize how dangerous that can be.

My father and I just hit Tibble. It is only about 1/3 frozen and the rest is open water. We did ice fish it, and were on about 6" of cloudy ice, some slush forming on top. Fishing was fast and we caught a few "good" ones - 14-16", and a ton of stockers. The ice is not looking great, but was fishable with a ton of caution. We did loose a lot of ice in just the time we were there the open water had crept closer, I have no idea what the coming weeks will hold for tibbles' ice.
