After the heavy rains I went out when the water was near summer pool level on 1-16. I caught a blue catfish at 18# on a Booyah Creek Craw Pigskin Jig with a Green Pumpkin Zoom Super chunk Jr. Then, today, as the water has fallen to about the same level as before, I caught a 4# smallmouth bass on a Kalin's 5" Watermelon Purple Grub. There were no other strikes on either day on a variety of lures including jerkbaits.

Both fish were caught in about six feet of water.

The smallmouth seemed a bit lethargic, but I am not one to criticize about such a condition.

The surface temperature was 46.1ºF this afternoon and the visibility was one foot deep away from shore and perhaps two to three feet deep near shore. The water is brown.
