Made it to Bear Lake today and the catching was red hot. Caught 90 fish and they were all fat cutthroats except for the 89 cisco we netted. BTW -- if anyone found a really nice maul on the ice at cisco beach today I would be grateful to get it back. Had a wild ride off of the road (hit some unexpected ice while driving around a large farm vehicle pulling a trailer) and tore out a farmer's fence. Very fortunate that no one was injured and the only damage done to the Suburban was I have a leak in a power steering line that I need to get repaired. Kory caught one nice cutt, broke off on another and lost a third fish. Danny and I both think we each got one quick bite and that was it. Beautiful day and fun to get out but it would have been nice to catch a few more fish.

Oh your little ice is probably nothing comparing too driving in that fresh 2-5" of new snow last Sunday in my 2006 ford Taurus. Lucky I had snow tired and crawling home 25-40mpg. It was interesting my car handled better then some Subaru on the road.
I will never forget one of the best and worst experience on that lake. Fun snagging those ciscos but driving on the bridge in Wyoming I will always have that stupid driver in my head each time in my life I will pass it and remember go into 1st gear going down hill when its slick because some stupid person behind you will just hit you.
Did you fish cisco beach and curious if you saw a ice rod???
It looks like fishing for cutties and lakers wont be good till spring time up there.

No, we got the one and only cutt before talking to you. After chatting with you, we went fished on the north end of Cisco Beach and none of us had a bite over there. While we were there, one guy caught three smallish cutts.

There is about 6 inches of ice and it was solid; however, that could change quickly if it doesn't get colder up there again.
