Hey foks I'm from utah and amd lookin for a new cat fish bait techniques that works in your state I'm tired of the old shrimp and chicken liver if any one has any secrets that they would share that would be amazing

Ya we can't use live bait here in Utah kind of sucks

I'm never moving there , What other states are like that .Try hot dogs then or sliced cheese in the wrappers. Keep in in plastics ,that way it doesn't fall apart.

There are a few states that won't let u fish with live bait

Nightcrawlers work OK in most places, but hard to keep the Carp and Bullhead off of it. Or, catch a Carp and cut the side meat into strips 1" wide by about 3" long. Hook a big circle hook thru it.
Utah says you can't use live bait, but cut bait from Carp, White Bass (especially at Utah Lake), uncooked shrimp, and as one other said, hot dogs (they tend to come off the hook pretty easy sometimes) or even the Lil'Smokies. Use those and if you aren't catching something, you can eat the bait for a snack. [laugh]
Get some Carp roe, in a fine mesh net material, on a trebble hook.
