We fished in the first 175 of the season. As everyone knows it was cold and the weathermen completely missed on the sun coming out and the wind dying down in the morning. The pretty well wrecked our fishing plans as we made the decision to run far north and fish some different areas than we thought most people had been hitting. We threw blades, lipless cranks and jerk baits most of the day. We wound up only catching 1 keeper emoBang so at least we didnt get skunked. Water temp was showing in the 43-46 range depending on depth. The keeper came in about 4 foot of water. We wound up with a nearly dead trolling batteries which hurt on where we could try and fish with the wind. All in all a pretty crappy and cold day.
