Got word from Danny that he was free to fish today, so we met up at Sullivan's (probably because he didn't beleive my last report with the 6.86 bass)
We started at about 7:30 and headed downstream toward Mullin's Cove and on about the 5th cast I got a hit on the same lure I got the good one on last week (chartruese Red Eye Shad-1/2 oz.) It weighed in at 7lb 9oz.
I got it about 30 ft from where I got the last one in about 4 ft of water. It was one of those"wish I was in a tourny" feelings.
Bad thing was, that was it! Only bass of the day.
The forecast obviousely drew the biggest crowd I've seen on Nick since fall.
After that fish the most entertainment we had was watching a seagull follow this boat, right on their tail from the time they came in sight till they were gone-it looked like it was on a leash!
Anyway, we threw the Red Eye, the rig, shallow crank, grub and a blade. The temp was 44 to 46 degrees. And as usual-I'm hoping Danny can post a pic!
