I've been reading about this for a couple days now, and this is my opinion. If the DWR really thought it would cause a loss of species, or impact it enough to partially wipe them out, they wouldn't have done what they did.. I am very certain there is a reason to their madness, I bet there is more to it than meets the eye. you know they knew exactly this was going to happen, and by this I mean a mass herd of people lining up with there 10 dollar walmart special rods and trebble hooks going to snag some eyes, this is probably what they were hoping for. maybe they have a plan that involves thinning the eyes a little... besides do you really think one season is going to wipe out every eye in there?
