Pete Jr. and I decided to leave the brown fish alone for a change and go for green fish up in the lake. The "light and variable" wind forecast turned into a cold and stiff North wind and I don't think it got as warm as predicted either. The water temp was 49-50 and the flow 35K cfs.

We struggled mightily, but Pete's 6 lb. 3 oz. largemouth kinda saved the day. He caught it on a jerk bait on a secondary point. He also caught a 2 pounder on the TN rig and a slick on a jerk bait. Yours truly got skunked. You front-ended me, son! LOL! Glad you ran the trolling motor instead of me doing it. The 6 pounder had a huge belly and a shad tailfin in its throat. All fish released.

We were amazed at how many bass fishermen were out and we saw them fish every kind of pattern from inches of water in the back of bays to main river dropoffs.

Regards,
Nauticman
