I can't believe the water levels out there! Just sucks how fast it is going down. I really hate to think what that lake is going to look like by years end at this rate. Nearly a foot evertime we have been out there and we have been out there 4 times this month so far. Each time the lake has changed a ton. Enough to be very visually noticable. I caught a fish there last week and now it is land type of stuff...

Windy! Thought it was suppose to be nicer... Ended up running way up north to get out of the winds and beat the tournament crowd that was launching out of Callville. Did really good on plastics but smaller fish as usual. We worked the north end till we hit all the spots I knew of and the wind appeared to of really died down so made a run for the Stewarts area and nearly got blown off the lake. Hit one spot on the way and got a nice one on a Shakey head then another spot and couldn't even hold the boat in place to fish. So tied everything down and made the run way up north again even further north than the Overton ramp. By this time even the extreme north end had whitecaps on it. But better than what it was like down south. Swapped out to dark colored Senkos since the water was so dirty waaaay up there and again did really well. Ended up back in the same protected coves we hit in the AM and knocked them out again including a really nice fatty. One of the few that we have ever caught in Overton. By 3 or 4 the wind died to nothing so back down south some. This time just looking for Smallie beds. Found one for each of us then bagged it and headed home.

In the end caught just shy of 40. Mostly Large Mouths.

In the AM way up north. (It was almost whitecaps around Echo/Stewarts at the same time.)

For the first time... No cranking rods on deck! I keep them on the left. Usually 3-4 of them. Figured we would use plastic only for the heck of it and that really was good for Madi. She is finally starting to get the hang of using her one baitcaster set-up, which is what she threw 95% of the day.

A nice one on a Shakey head. Had to get some time in on my new rod for that technique (I broke the one I had been using screwing around in the garage days earlier). This was the only one we caught mid day when we tried to work back down south some before we made the second trip back up north.

The second time back up north... A nice fatty for me.
